Political conflict and war between the Indonesia military and the separatist free movement, followed by Tsunami has resulted devastation and unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Aceh. Damage and destruction to Aceh health system and infrastructures is extensive and many health facilities are damaged in all affected areas. Rehabilitation of health system after conflict and Tsunami disaster need appropriate inputs for reconstructing health systems. This research aimed at understanding how the changes on health/social/political/organizational factors precipitated by conflict and Tsunami affecting health workforce and understanding the health workforce issues that are important to consider in restructuring Aceh. This is an observational research project using qualitative approach, i.e. document/publication review, interview and Focus Group Discussion. The respondent is particularly health personnel from various health service levels.
